We’ll be the first to admit it — things have been a little quiet on our channels recently. It’s not because we’ve gone off-grid (though that wouldn’t be unusual for us). The truth is, we’ve been busy doing what Reactive Medical does best: supporting people, events, and teams in some of the UK’s most demanding and inspiring environments.
Over the past few months, our crews have been out in the field, high on summits and deep in the valleys, providing medical cover and safety support to a range of challenging events and expeditions.
Reaching New Heights – The Apex Everest Challenge
One of the highlights of our recent work was supporting the Apex Everest Challenge, an extraordinary endurance event where participants climbed Helvellyn 9.2 times — the equivalent height of Mount Everest.
From first light to last, we supported every participant to push their limits safely. The physical and mental determination displayed by everyone involved was truly inspiring, and it was a privilege for our team to play a role in helping them reach their “Everest”.
From Sea to Summit – Rat Race Adventures
We also joined forces with Rat Race for their iconic Sea to Summit challenge, where participants journeyed from the west coast of Seascale all the way to the summit of Scafell Pike — and back down again.
Covering long distances through rugged terrain, this event tested endurance, navigation, and teamwork. Our on-site medical teams provided support every step of the way, ready to respond in all conditions. These events perfectly capture the spirit of adventure and resilience we admire — and the environments we’re built to work in.

Behind the Camera – Supporting Remote Film Production
As we move into November, we’re expanding into an exciting new area: medical and safety support for remote film and media productions.
Working with production teams in challenging and unpredictable environments brings its own set of logistical and medical demands — and we’re proud to offer the same level of professional, expedition-ready medical cover we provide in the mountains. From behind the camera to behind the scenes, Reactive Medical is helping keep crews safe while they capture the action.
Looking Ahead
While our social feeds may have been quiet, the past few months have been anything but. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far this year — and even more excited about what’s ahead.
