Service Description

The Level 3 Award in Outdoor First Aid (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification, designed for individuals operating in unsupported outdoor environments. It is ideal for: ✔ Outdoor Activity Leaders ✔ Bushcraft Instructors ✔ Canoe Instructors ✔ Duke of Edinburgh Assessors ✔ Mountain / Moorland Leaders ✔ Anyone running activities where medical assistance may be hours away Course Overview This extended 2-day course provides learners with the essential skills and knowledge to manage first aid incidents in remote and outdoor settings. Topics covered include: ✔ Managing multiple casualties ✔ Insulating and sheltering casualties ✔ Cardiac arrest and CPR ✔ Severe blood loss and shock ✔ Choking incidents ✔ Handling extremes of temperature (hypothermia & heatstroke) ✔ Fractures, head, and spinal injuries ✔ Drowning and burns ✔ Conducting a head-to-toe survey ✔ Managing medical conditions and more For a detailed breakdown of the course content, please download the Qualification Specification.

Cancellation Policy

These Terms and Conditions apply to all courses, expeditions, training programs, guided activities, and services provided by Reactive Medical. By booking, you agree to these terms: 1. Bookings & Payments Bookings are subject to availability and confirmed only upon full payment. Book via our website, email, or phone. Group bookings may require a deposit and full payment by an agreed date. Prices may change but are fixed once confirmed. 2. Cancellations & Refunds We have a strict no-refund policy. No refunds under any circumstances, including illness, injury, travel issues, weather, or personal reasons. 3. Rebooking Policy You may rebook once, if requested at least 14 days before your activity. New activity must be of equal value and used within 12 months, subject to availability. No rebooking for no-shows or late notice. Rebooking may not apply to promotional bookings. 4. Cancellations by Us We may cancel/reschedule due to weather, safety, staff availability, low numbers, or force majeure. If we cancel, you may choose a new date or receive credit valid for 12 months. 5. Participant Responsibilities Must be age 18+ unless otherwise agreed. You are responsible for your own physical and mental readiness. Follow all staff instructions. Disclose medical issues before attending. Unsafe or disruptive behavior may lead to removal without refund. 6. Health & Safety Activities carry risk. Participation implies acceptance of this. Our staff are trained and prioritize safety. We may alter plans to ensure safety. 7. Insurance Strongly recommended: personal insurance covering activities, cancellation, and evacuation. We are not liable for loss or injury not caused by our negligence. 8. Equipment Provided gear will be safe and appropriate. You’re responsible for deliberate damage or loss. Proper clothing/footwear required. Participation may be refused without suitable kit. 9. Media & Photography We may take photos/videos during activities. By attending, you consent to use of this media for marketing unless you opt out in writing. 10. Liability We are not liable for: Injuries from failure to follow safety advice Personal property loss Uncontrollable events Liability for death/injury due to negligence is not excluded. 11. Governing Law These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be handled in those courts.
